  • St. Bartholomew the Apostle
    St. Bartholomew, also know as St. Nathaniel, was chosen to be one of the original twelve Apostles. Little is know for sure of his missionary worker after Christ's Ascension; however, there is an early tradition that he preached the gospel in India and later suffered martyrdom in Armenia, being skinned alive.

  • St. Maurus
    St. Maurus was born a Roman noble in the sixth century. He became St. Benedict's assistant at age twelve. It is believed that St. Maurus rescued St. Placidus from drowning. He died around 584 A.D.

    St. Peter was born Simon, the brother of Andrew, at Bethsaida. Peter was a fisherman who became one of the first followers of Jesus and was ordained by Christ as the first pope. He was martyred by Nero about 65 A.D. and was succeeded by Pope Linus.
