  • St. Monica
    St. Monica was born in 322 and raised Christian. She was married to a violent pagan, with whom she had three children, including St. Augustine. Her husband converted just before his death. St. Monica prayed for seventeen years for Augustine's conversion, and Augustine was baptized the year she died. She died after seeing her son baptized.
  • St. Perpetua
    St. Perpetua was converted to Cristianity in 203, during the reign of Emporer Septimus Severus. She was arrested for being a Christian, along with four others. St. Felicity was one of the four imprisoned with her. They were set against beasts in the arena. Unharmed by the enrage cow set against her, St. Perpetua was beheaded.
