  • St. Rosalia
    St. Rosalia, the Little Saint, followed two angels to a remote cave on Mount Pellegrino near Palermo. There she lived as a hermit until her death around 1160. In 1624, it is said that St. Rosalia saved the city of Palermo from the plague that had struck the city.
