    Short Bio
  • St. Januarius
St. Januarius was bishop of Benevento, Italy during the Diocletian persecution. He suffered several imprisonments and was eventually beheaded. The most notable thing left behind by St. Januarius is a relic of his blood, which liquefies when it is exposed for veneration in the cathedral of Naples. No earthly explanation for this phenomenon exists.
