  • St. Ignatius of Loyola
    Well-known as the founder of the Jesuit order, St. Ignatius of Loyola was born in Spain in 1491. Recovering from an injury from battle, Ignatius experienced a conversion and spent years in prayer and penance. He became a priest, founded the Society of Jesus and wrote his "Spiritual Excercises."
