  • St. Charles Borromeo
    At a young age, St. Charles Borromeo was named a cardinal and he soon was appointed Archbishop of Milan. He participated at the Council of Trent of 1562 and he worked tirelessly to reform the Church and to preserve her unity.
  • St. Robert Bellarmine
    St. Robert Bellarmine was born on Oct. 4, 1542 at Montepulciano, Italy. He was ordained in 1570 and became a cardinal in 1598. St. Robert wrote the most complete defense of Catholicism at the time in the battle against Protestantism. He died in 1621.
