    St. Catherine was born in Italy in 1347. Although she had no formal education, she became the adviser to princes and popes, even admonishing the pope to return the papacy to Rome. Because of her mystical writings, she is a doctor of the Church.
  • St. Catherine of Sweden
    St. Catherine of Sweden was born the 14th century to the famous mystic, St. Bridget of Sweden. Although she was married, both she and her husbands took vows of perpetual chastity and together the worked to help the poor and sick. After his death, she became the superior of a convent that her mother had founded.
