  • St. Catherine of Sweden
    St. Catherine of Sweden was born the 14th century to the famous mystic, St. Bridget of Sweden. Although she was married, both she and her husbands took vows of perpetual chastity and together the worked to help the poor and sick. After his death, she became the superior of a convent that her mother had founded.
  • St. Gianna Beretta Molla
    Gianna was born in 1922 in Magenta, Italy. She began studying medicine and received a medical diploma in 1949. She married and had two children. When she became pregnant again, she developed a tumor. She had it removed, without terminating the pregnancy. Her baby was born healthy but Gianna died of complications a week later.
